🐶 Best Friends Forever 🐶
Hej, friends! Becky, the founder of Fikabröd, here. Time to share our latest box: Best Friends Forever! 💕 As many of you know, in April 2018 after being together my entire adult life, my best friend & basset hound Preston passed away, which completely and absolutely devastated me. We’re talking severe depression, anxiety, suicidal tendencies, the works. (Thank goodness for my husband, therapist, parents, and meds.) I’ve always loved baking, and I started baking more and more as part of my therapy and self-care. It was during all of this baking that I came up with the idea for Fikabröd.
Since Preston is so tied into the origin of Fikabröd and his birthday was on 17 May, the May box was definitely influenced by him. I spent even more time than usual brainstorming and researching to curate a fabulous assortment of ingredients and goodies that are meaningful to me while also being yummy and exciting for y’all. I am proud to say that this box is amazing—as is only appropriate for something in honour of the goodest boy ever 🐶🌈✨
